HMIF Goes Out - Company Visit Lintasarta
A day in Jakarta with HMIF Goes Out to learn about Lintasarta, its work, and its people.
On September 3, 2024, I joined HMIF Goes Out for a company visit to Lintasarta in Jakarta. It was my first time learning about the company, and the visit gave me a closer look at its work and the people behind it.

What is HMIF Goes Out?
HMIF Goes Out is an activity organized by HMIF, the Informatics Student Association at Institut Teknologi Bandung. Members travel together for events outside campus, from local outings to visits in other cities. This time, the group travelled to Jakarta to visit Lintasarta.
The company visit
A company visit gives students the chance to see a workplace and hear directly from people working there. At Lintasarta, we took part in a sharing session with employees and learned about the company's work, values, and experiences. It was a useful way to connect what we learn as students with how technology and organizations operate in practice.

Getting to know Lintasarta
Lintasarta works in the information and communication technology industry. During the visit, we learned about its history and how its business has developed, including its work supporting banking services and its more recent focus on cloud and AI services.
The company shared its values through the acronym I CARE: Innovative, Collaboration, Agility, Resilience, and Ethics. Hearing how the company describes its purpose and values made the visit more than just a tour of an office.

Looking back
Before the visit, I had not heard much about Lintasarta. I left with a better understanding of the company and a new interest in its work. It was a rare opportunity to learn outside the classroom, spend time with HMIF members, and share the trip together.
