Graduating from Institut Teknologi Bandung

Four years at ITB went by in a flash. I graduated in Informatics, carrying with me the lessons, friendships, and memories of a journey that shaped me.

Four years at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), or Bandung Institute of Technology, felt as if they had gone by in a flash. On August 27, 2026, I graduated in Informatics Engineering. It was the end of one chapter, and a moment to look back on everything and everyone that made those years what they were.

    Four years that shaped me

I will miss the ordinary days as much as the big milestones: going to class, spending time with friends, and getting through the difficult parts together. There was happiness and sadness, laughter and stress, but all of it became part of the experience.

Every class, every course material, and every lecturer taught me something. Some lessons came from the subject itself, while others came from the people, challenges, and routines around it. I know these experiences will continue to influence how I approach what comes next.

    Three years with HMIF

For three of my four years at ITB, HMIF, the Informatics Student Association, was another home and family. Being part of it gave me many unforgettable experiences and friendships that I will carry with me long after graduation.

There is a chant that still brings those years back to me:

    HMIF > hu
    HMIF > hu hu hu
    HMIF > Informatika
Kami Berjiwa Satria Pantang Menyerah Penuh Semangat Gapai semua Bersama Bersatu Berhimpun dalam HMIF ku

    And the rhyme:

    Informatika Berjiwa Satria
    Tidak Pernah Mengenal Keluh Kesah
    Tugas yang Melimpah Bukanlah Rintangan
    Lautan Ujian Sudahlah Biasa

Those words capture the spirit of moving forward together, even when the work and challenges felt overwhelming.

    The ceremony

The graduation ceremony made the years of study feel real in a new way. I was grateful to receive my degree and to share that moment with my family, friends, and the people who had supported me along the way.

    A moment with the flag

On November 1, 2026, I joined the arak-arakan, the celebratory procession with my HMIF family. It was a chance to stand together once more, this time as graduates, beneath the flag that had been part of so many of our shared memories.

    Thank you, ITB

I will miss these days. The classes, the friendships, the ups and downs, and everything I learned from the people around me have become part of who I am. I am grateful for all of it, and I will take those lessons with me into the future.
